The Best Coffee in Dunoon

Delicious soup, freshly baked scones and tasty coffee , Dunoon has other attractions too !

The really best thing about Cowal, which is a secret little part of Argyll, is the combination of hills, sea lochs and the ever-changing weather. Stunning scenery, wildlife in abundance, undiscovered, hassle free and plenty of space to roam both on land and sea. Leave your mobile at home when you visit Dunoon !

There are many excellent forest walks, great sailing, quad biking, cycling, fishing and even the simple things like skimming stones on the ice age shores make Dunoon and Cowal a great place to be. Pop along to Tighnabruaich for a boat trip on a proper fishing boat through the wonderful Kyles of Bute or take a longer trip on a paddle steamer around the Firth of Clyde. After so much scenery a trip to the Holy Loch Coffee Shop is essential!!.

Cyclists on epic rides from Lands End to John O Groats often stop off at the Holy Loch Coffee Shop for food and sailing crews can usually be heard across the tables of the coffee shop debating that last race around the Clyde or voyage down the Firth.

Nearby Quadmania and The Hunters Quay Holiday Village offer activities for the family and Dunoon boasts an informative wee museum perched on the hill behind the pier. Ardkinglas Gardens and Benmore Gardens have some of the biggest trees in Britain and are well worth a look.

After you’ve stretched your legs come and have a sit down at the Holy Loch Coffee Shop.
